Teachers

A visit to the expo will provide your students with a great opportunity to prepare for their future. The event will feature over 75 organisations with the latest information on career options and pathways, further training and study options and employment opportunities.

All schools in the region are sent an invitation containing event information, CCIQ Job Shop details and a school booking form. A number of promotional materials including A3 posters, bookmarks and a school newsletter editorial are sent to each school closer to the event date.

The event offers a wealth of information for teachers -

  • Find out about the latest careers, course study and employment options
  • Advice on enrolment procedures
  • Talk to employers both locally and interstate
  • Opportunity to talk to admission staff
  • Meet with interstate and overseas exhibitors
  • Information on bursaries and scholarship and application procedures
  • This year the CCIQ Job Shop will be held in conjuction with the careers expo. Please encourage interested students to prepare a resume to bring with them when visiting the expo

 

Assist Your Students

Student Worksheet -

will assist students with their preparation prior to visiting the expo. We would encourage all students attending the event to complete the student worksheet and bring to the expo with them

Editorial can be placed in printed and electronic newsletters distributed to students at your school. Please contact us if you wish receive a word version of this document.

For  display in senior classrooms, staff rooms and library as well as distribution to students, parents and other interested parties.

CCIQ Job Shop

Students interested in apply for jobs at the expo as part of the CCIQ Job Shop need to visit the "Job seekers"  link to get information on what to bring to the expo. Interviews will be held at the event and students will need to bring a resume and be prepared
