Teachers

A visit to the expo will provide your students with a great opportunity to prepare for their future. The event will feature over 90 organisations with the latest information on career options and pathways, further training and study options and employment opportunities. WorldSkills Australia Try'aTrade was a new initiative at the expo in 2011. This interactive program allows visitors to try various skills and trade areas. The displays are entertaining, informative and offer access to some of the basic skills involved in a range of fields.

All schools in the region are sent an invitation containing event information, CCIQ Job Shop details and a school booking form. Posters, bookmarks and a school newsletter editorial are sent to each school.

The event offers a wealth of information for teachers -

  • Find out about the latest careers, course study and employment options
  • Advice on enrolement procedures
  • Talk to both local and interstate employers
  • Opportunity to talk to admission staff
  • Meet with interstate and overseas exhibitors
  • Try a range of trade skills in the Try'a Trade area
  • Information on bursaries and scholarship and application procedures

The lift out feature in the Sunshine Coast Daily will contain valuable information for all visitors including a complete list of exhibitors attending, listing of "live jobs" on offer at the expo, seminar program and floorplan.
